717 JTFD2's Fire Boat: THE DEFENDER, which was originally an icebreaker, is the only Official Fire Boat on Lake Hopatcong, covering five towns and two counties. It is currently equipted with two V-8 engines, one that drives the boat and the other to pump the water.
